Bane Kler

Bane Kler

Graduate Engineer of Environmental Protection, year of graduation 2017. My name is Bane Kler. When I was thinking about what would be best for me to study, I did not know exactly what I wanted, but I knew it should be something related to nature and our environment. I discovered that the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” in Zrenjanin had a young and promising study program that I liked — Environmental Protection Engineering. Since I love nature, I wanted to contribute to its preservation, and that study program seemed ideal for that. When I came to the entrance exam, I was surprised by the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, as well as the kind professors and teaching assistants who were there to provide clear answers to every question I had. During my studies, I lived in a student dormitory, and I liked both the Faculty and the city very much. I studied for four years, and during that time I met wonderful people, professors, and teaching assistants who made an effort and succeeded in transferring knowledge and love for this field to me. Thanks to them, I work in my profession today and I am very satisfied with my life and the results I have achieved. I am employed as an Environmental Protection Engineer at ZZ Graničar in Šid.

Kristina Gvozdenović

Kristina Gvozdenović

Graduate Engineer of Environmental Protection, year of graduation 2017. My name is Kristina Gvozdenović. By profession, I am a Master Engineer of Environmental Protection. My desire for this education dates back to secondary school, and even more from my undergraduate studies, which I enrolled in 2013 at the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” in Zrenjanin. This only further increased my desire to improve my knowledge in the field of environmental protection. In 2021, I also completed master’s studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. After completing my undergraduate studies, during which I gained a great deal of knowledge in this field, I had the opportunity to become familiar with specific tasks and fieldwork through an internship program, that is, professional practice. A year later, I obtained a position at JKP “Drugi oktobar” Vršac, as an Expert Associate for Waste Management and Environmental Protection, both within the company and at the local government level. Many things I encountered during my studies in theory and virtually gained a different dimension in practice. The knowledge acquired at the Faculty helped me greatly, and I continue to build on it practically every day. New opportunities are constantly opening up for the advancement of my knowledge and for the improvement of the field in which I work. In the previous period, I participated in a morphological analysis of waste in the territory of the municipality of Vršac. I also took part in supporting a project by postgraduate students from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, as well as in raising environmental awareness among primary school students by organizing the Eco Quiz competition, where the team from Vršac reached the semi-finals at the national level held in Vrnjačka Banja. Some of my daily tasks also include monitoring waste movement documents, announcing the movement of hazardous waste, and many other activities. My wish and advice to future students is that we join forces and knowledge to preserve the environment, which is the only habitat for all of us, from the damage that we ourselves have caused.

Aleksandra Marjan

Aleksandra Marjan

Graduate Engineer of Environmental Protection, year of graduation 2017. My name is Aleksandra Marjan. After completing secondary school, HPTŠ “Uroš Predić”, in the Environmental Protection Technician program, I decided to continue my education and enroll at the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” in the Environmental Protection Engineering study program. I enrolled in this study program primarily because I was interested in the environment. I was curious to learn how wastewater is treated, how air and soil quality are monitored, and later which laws regulate all of this. I spent four years at the Faculty, and during that time I met wonderful colleagues with whom I am still in contact today. Everything I learned was thanks to wonderful professors and teaching assistants, who made every effort to pass on their knowledge to us, and I am grateful to them for that. After completing my studies and defending my graduation thesis, I was employed the same year at “Beohemija” in Zrenjanin. Beohemija is a company that produces laundry detergent, dishwashing detergents, shampoos, soaps, floor and window cleaning products, fabric softeners, and similar products. My position is Research and Development Department Officer. My task is to approve the declaration text found on bottles and bags, as well as to process data in the Microsoft Office package. In our laboratory, I also participate in the analysis of competing products, which includes measuring pH values, product viscosity, active matter, and similar parameters. At work, I have learned a lot about raw materials, as well as about the laws that regulate them and must be respected so that a manufactured product can be placed on the market. I would tell future Environmental Protection Engineers to be persistent and determined in their studies, because everything learned at the Faculty is later expanded and built upon through work.

Miroslav Knežević

Miroslav Knežević

Graduate Engineer of Industrial Engineering in Oil and Gas Exploitation, year of graduation 2024. NIS a.d. Novi Sad, Naftagas - Technical Services, Junior Engineer for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). At the time when I started studying, the entire world, including our country, was affected by the coronavirus epidemic. Studying under such conditions was not easy. Lectures were not held in person at the Faculty; everything was online. The professors tried to transfer knowledge to us as much as they could, and I believe it was difficult for them as well as for us. In the third year, everything returned to normal. In-person lectures began, along with meeting and socializing with colleagues, and then everything became much better and more interesting. I can praise the entire teaching and non-teaching staff. Everyone is very kind and ready to cooperate. The Faculty has a wide selection of study programs, and I believe that most people could find themselves in one of the fields.
