NOTICE FOR STUDENTS – PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES AND OTHER STUDY-RELATED COSTS: Payments to the Faculty’s account for the purpose of paying tuition fees or other study-related costs (exam registration, credit transfer, year renewal, extension of student status, semester verification, thesis defense, and similar fees at all levels of study) may be made no later than Monday, 29 December 2025, as usual. After this date and time, any payment made will not be recorded and no refunds will be possible. The Faculty, as well as other higher education institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia, is transitioning to the System for Preparation, Execution, Accounting and Reporting (SPIRI), which will result in the closure of all existing Faculty accounts. With the transition to SPIRI in early January 2026, appropriate sub-accounts will be opened through which the Faculty’s further financial operations will be conducted. In due course, and no later than 15 January 2026, the Faculty will prepare and publish the relevant instructions/information regarding payments to be made through SPIRI. Instructions/information for students of all levels of study, as well as this notice, will be published on the Faculty’s website and social media channels, and sent to all students via email.

The Student Parliament of the Faculty of Technology "Mihajlo Pupin" and the Faculty of Technology "Mihajlo Pupin" have provided funds for registration fees for students to participate in the ABOVE conference, which will be held from April 17 to 19 in Zrenjanin.

 

The ABOVE conference is a unique opportunity for students to expand their knowledge, gain new experiences and connect with experts and colleagues from various fields. Over the course of four days, participants can expect inspiring lectures, panel discussions, workshops and numerous opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas.

 

This is a great chance for students to gain insight into current trends, develop professional contacts and take an important step towards their future career, whether it is continuing their education or employment.

How many times have you used an application that “doesn’t work properly”?

 

And what if the problem isn’t you, but the digital barriers built into the product itself?

 

This lecture provides a clear and practical introduction to digital accessibility and reveals how and why modern websites and applications often (un)intentionally exclude users and even discriminate against people with disabilities.

 

We will talk about:
• the most common digital barriers in real products
• why accessibility is increasingly important (new users, quality, reputation, regulatory requirements and legal risks)
• concrete examples that you can immediately recognize regardless of whether you are a developer, QA, designer or product manager
• key standards (WCAG, EN 301 549, ADA, ISO 40500) and how to apply them in practice

 

The goal of the lecture is to gain knowledge that sets you apart in the job market and to understand how to build digital products that work for all users, and do not exclude many among us.

 

This is the second part of a series of three guest lectures, which continues with a final practical workshop:
"Digital Accessibility and QA in Practice" (15.04.2026.- 12:15 hrs.)

On Wednesday, March 18 at 12:00, the promotion of the ABOVE conference will be held in the Small Amphitheater of the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" in Zrenjanin.

 

ABOVE is a conference for professionals who are not looking for another list of trends, but rather want to better understand how people are led today, how decisions are made, and how meaningful businesses are built.
