NOTICE FOR STUDENTS – PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES AND OTHER STUDY-RELATED COSTS: Payments to the Faculty’s account for the purpose of paying tuition fees or other study-related costs (exam registration, credit transfer, year renewal, extension of student status, semester verification, thesis defense, and similar fees at all levels of study) may be made no later than Monday, 29 December 2025, as usual. After this date and time, any payment made will not be recorded and no refunds will be possible. The Faculty, as well as other higher education institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia, is transitioning to the System for Preparation, Execution, Accounting and Reporting (SPIRI), which will result in the closure of all existing Faculty accounts. With the transition to SPIRI in early January 2026, appropriate sub-accounts will be opened through which the Faculty’s further financial operations will be conducted. In due course, and no later than 15 January 2026, the Faculty will prepare and publish the relevant instructions/information regarding payments to be made through SPIRI. Instructions/information for students of all levels of study, as well as this notice, will be published on the Faculty’s website and social media channels, and sent to all students via email.

Biography

30. 09. 2023.

Darko Radovancevic was born on November 19, 1974, in Zrenjanin. He completed his undergraduate studies in theoretical experimental physics at the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade. His master's thesis was titled "Invariant Function for Quantum Electrodynamics Lepton-Lepton Processes in One-Photon Approximation." He continued at the same faculty, pursuing second-degree master's academic studies in the same field. In 2016, he successfully defended his PhD thesis in theoretical physics entitled "The Two-Oscillator Models and the Free Particle Type Models in Cosmology" under Prof. Dr. Ljubiša Nešic's mentorship at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Niš. In 2018, he became a Assistant Research Professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Niš, in the field of natural and mathematical sciences – physics. In 2021, he started working at the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" in Zrenjanin, University of Novi Sad, as an Assistant Professor in the narrower scientific field of Physics. He teaches subjects in undergraduate studies (Physics; Technical physics; Investigation of the physical fields properties; Electrical engineering and electronics; Electrical engineering, environment and protection) and PhD studies (Selected chapters from physics).

Until now, Darko Radovancevic has authored seven research papers in theoretical physics featured in international journals with IMPACT factor, along with presenting 11 research papers at esteemed international scientific gatherings. Moreover, he contributed a paper at the XII Congress of Serbian Physicists and one in a reputable national journal.

Beyond academia, he actively participated in various administrative roles including the Management Board of the Regional Talent Center in Zrenjanin, the Court of Honor, the Assembly, and the Management Board of the Society of Physicists of Serbia. He holds a membership in the Southeastern European Network in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics and presides over the Branch of the Society of Physicists of Serbia in the Central Banat District. Throughout his academic journey, both in Belgrade and later in Zrenjanin, he organized or directly engaged in numerous events and talks aimed at advancing the understanding and appreciation of physics. Furthermore, he serves as the president of the scientific program committee and vice-president of the organizing committee of the International conference on Physical Aspects of Environment.

His scientific activity focuses on theoretical physics and environmental physics. In the field of theoretical physics, he analyzes mini-superspace classical and quantum cosmological models, classifies and studies dynamics and signature transitions, in the classical, p-adic, and non-commutative cases, for cosmological models whose Lagrangians can be reduced to the Lagrangians of harmonic oscillators.
