The twelfth cycle of the Summer Internship, jointly implemented by the Association of Entrepreneurs ZREPOK and the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin", with the support of the Union of Employers of Zrenjanin and the financial support of the City of Zrenjanin, was officially concluded on November 1, 2024. This year, almost 60 students applied for 16 planned project positions. The selection of candidates was difficult because all students showed ambition and willingness to work on themselves and improve their skills and knowledge.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Milan Nikolic, the coordinators of the LSP, Dragoljub Bjeloglav and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mila Kavalic, the head of the Center for Practice Development and Career Guidance of Students "CEPiX" Prof. dr Dragana Glušac, Deputy Mayor of Zrenjanin Saša Santovac, President of ZREPOK Borislav Umicevic, Executive Director of the Union of Employers of Zrenjanin Izabela Balint Markov, as well as representatives-mentors of partner companies, students, faculty professors and the media.

The project coordinators are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mila Kavalic on behalf of the faculty and Dragoljub Bjeloglav on behalf of ZREPOK, with the support of Izabela Balint Markov from the Union of Employers of Zrenjanin and prof. dr. Dragana Glušac, head of the Center for Practice Development and Career Guidance of Students "Cepiks".

The competition for the internship was announced in May, and 58 students applied for 16 available positions. The selected students successfully implemented their tasks in cooperation with mentors during the summer, solving practical challenges in the field of business and innovation in various companies. In addition to practical work, students attended workshops on writing CVs and motivation letters and participated in simulated job interviews.

The students’ project solutions were evaluated by a five-member committee: Dragoljub Bjeloglav (ZREPOK), professors Eleonora Desnica, Edit Terek Stojanovic and Dalibor Dobrilovic, as well as student Luka Glišic, the winner of the previous cycle.

First place was won by Dušan Popovic, a third-year student of Mechanical Engineering, with the project “Hydraulic Scissor Platform” at the company “General Solutions”. Dušan Popovic received a job offer from this company and a contract on technical and business cooperation was signed with the faculty. Second place went to Dalija Zoric, a third-year student of Information Technology (module: Information Technology Management), with the project “Optimization of Reports and Data Analysis in the Supply Chain” at the company “Gomex”, which also resulted in a job offer. Third place went to Leontina Pap, a second-year student of Engineering Management, who worked on the project “Super Start – creating and launching a Super Start internship for students” at “DTL PerSu – BB Trade”. Other participants who also produced outstanding projects are: Jelena Stankovic and Kristina Pitarevic (“DTL PerSu – BB Trade”), Milica Mijatov and Milica Ivaniš (“Novares”), Ana Jurisic and Marko Cavrak (“Consulteer”), Bogdan Draškovic (“Ziportal”), Tamara Milic (“Patrol 023”), Stefan Cicka and Ziko Simeunovic (“Petkus Engineering”), Dunja Dragojevic (“Diginet”), Igor Skrofanov (“Vorp”) and David Gluvakov (“One stop marketing”).

ZREPOK provided cash prizes for the first place (50,000 RSD), second place (20,000 RSD) and third place (10,000 RSD), and the City of Zrenjanin supported all participants with 50,000 RSD, based on the Cooperation Agreement of May 15, 2024. Contracts with the awarded students were signed on November 28, 2024 in the Zrepok premises. Also, student Dušan Popovic, as the first place participant, was provided with exemption from administrative costs of studying in the fourth year of basic academic studies in the 2024/25 school year by the Faculty.

Thus, this cycle, the 12th in a row, was successfully completed.

Defense of summer internship projects
